Ben is great. Excellent blogs and books. The podcast topic transitions can be awkward, but getting better. A word of caution: sometimes they flirt with leftist policy ideas. Will need to tune out when they go too political.
These guys not only write great blogs but each week have 1 or 2 really interesting shows that isn’t like anything else out there, you should check this out!
Michael and Ben are smart, irreverent and knowledgeable. I learn something (a new way of looking at things, a new factoid, etc.) every episode. Even though I don’t share their taste in books and movies, I enjoy their takes on them. An enjoyable listen while exercising or driving.
I am not sure how I found them, but I look forward to the show. Their chemistry has me laughing on my way into work. When I work from home, I have to go for a 30 to 40 minute walk to make sure I don’t miss anything.
Michael And Ben are so entertaining. The cover a wide range of topics, and I love how they tie charts and data to their points. Bravo guys keep up the good work!! Btw Ben, depression‘s that last one month, lol... favorite hot take of 2020.
While these guys should not be your go-to source for accurate understanding of economics, they are a fun listen, and have exposed me to many new investment ideas and perspectives. They often interview people in finance about things I had no idea existed. Their (non-investment) recommendations are worth a listen too!
I’ve been listening for years - love the content, love the humor, love the recommendations... and I love when they call each other out for mispronouncing words.
As a rookie investor back in 2017 this show was a great jumping off point to get me started learning about markets and investing. I’ve learned a ton from this show not just from Michael and Ben but also from reading/listening to their recommendations. I recommended the show to my pharmacist brother and now we are constantly talking about what we learned or heard from the show. Also being from Minnesota it is very easy to relate to Ben’s Michigan / Midwest musings.
Good Blend between Finance and Life. Been listening for awhile now and really enjoy. As a financial advisor this gives me weekly talking points for my clients. Thank you Ben and Michael.
I listen to all the Podcasts including “Talk your book” and any special shows. I especially like that if you write to them they always answer. I’ve recommended this Podcast to numerous people and always add that I think of Ben as my brother. BTW, I’ve purchased and read most of Ben’s books too. Always loved Ben but I have to say Michael has really grown on me in the last year.
One of my favorite financial pods. Michael and Ben play so well off each other and offer real life practical information. Definitely two guys you’d love to sit down and have a few beers with. Keep up the great work in ‘21 guys!
Best investment podcast out there, second only to the compound with Downtown Josh Brown of course :). But for real, always enjoyable, wide range of topics always relatable. Especially enjoy the recommendations segments.
Been listening since around March and love the podcast. Covers a great mix of financial news and what’s going on in world. Recommendations at the end of each ep are awesome. Ben - I like you, but have to say I’m #TeamMichael for most of these. Letting “what’s in the box?” go over your head a few months ago was unforgivable. Huge miss I still can’t forget
Michael and Ben explain complex topics in very easy to understand conversations. Thanks for consistently giving the listeners something to look forward to!
Been following these guys through their blogs for years, and love the show. If you want to learn about stocks, listen to 5 episodes from these guys first.
The title says it all. Michael and Ben are intelligent, hilarious, and a great team. I look forward to each episode. This is such a fantastic resource.
Seriously great podcast with knowledgeable guys that have a nice “conversation with your buddies” kind of feel. Rundowns of recent articles and thoughts on the market that have lead, for me at least, to some interesting new investments. Also a great way to catch you up on the financial world if you missed reading a bunch of things that week. It’s left me laughing on multiple occasions and is easily my favorite for drives.
