Highly enjoyable podcast, always good content and topics with honest thoughts on various topics.
Ben and Michael are both great, two of my best Twitter finds!
Discovered their clips on YouTube and quickly converted over to the full podcast. I’m not a professional investor or finance guy by any means so I appreciate the diverse manner in which they talk about topics in that space. I’m in my early 30s and never really paid a lot of attention to wealth-building outside contributing to my 401k and personal savings account so listening to these guys the past year has really motivated my wife and I to not only think bigger but learn more about the market, asset diversification, etc. Most importantly it has been reassuring to hear regularly that there are pathways to wealth and financial independence that don’t involve constantly trying to beat the market or needing to achieve a professional broker-level of knowledge and awareness. That isn’t a criticism of those strategies...it just isn’t the strategy that works for our individual lifestyle. Highly recommend. Always interesting stuff discussed. They also offer great content outside the podcast and I’ve invested in following their blogs and purchasing their books.
That’s how long one should hold down the toilet handle after flushing. I learned that on Animal Spirits and now every time I flush I think about the podcast. Turns out Michael’s plumber is great at both investing and plumbing. Love the show, guys!
I love the dynamic between Michael and Ben. The timely information about markets, investing, and entertainment. You are my Last Dance for podcasts. Keep it up! I’d pay to listen to more. Thanks for giving us this!

One of my favorite podcasts. The guys are down to earth and make learning about markets and personal finance enjoyable. Not going to lie...almost dropped a medicine ball on my face once because I started laughing while listening during a workout.
So many financial podcasts are just not great to listen to. Animal Spirits is one of the few I find myself being excited for new episodes. Give it a listen and see for yourself.
Great show, I love the variety of topics and mixing in the pop culture. Both your perspectives are great to listen to. Keep up the recommendations, we all need it during COVID!
I've been listening to Mike & Ben via Animal Spirits for probably two years now. Having tried a couple investing podcasts, this was the first one that stuck for me and I've listened ever since. Mike & Ben strike a great balance in keeping their conversations educational/informative yet entertaining. They've got strong chemistry commonly poking fun at one another but keeping the conversations moving at a good pace.
I've found they can be reactionary, as we all tend to be, but as long as you can listen without taking everything they say as gospel then it's an amazing podcast for learning about investing and keeping up to date on the markets and greater financial world.
I love this podcast and never miss an episode. These guys have a great rapport and always talk about current topics. They talk about finance in an accessible and entertaining way for a non-finance person as myself and yet these advisors are at the top of their game. Not for nerds! 🤓
Such a good show. It provides a great insight into what is happening in the financial markets and as a financial adviser, it saves me a lot of time by providing good content.
The component of the podcast about movies, tv shows and books provides good recommendations as well.
Thanks for making such a great show.
Late to the party, OK Boomer, I have been listening to Ben and Mike for a couple of months.
Regardless of where you are in you investing journey, listening to ASP, Animal Spirits Podcast is more than worth the time.
Take a break. Go for a walk. Listen.
The main weekly show is a nice lighthearted look at what’s going on in the markets. I always look forward to the show and the recommendations at the end. The ‘talk your book’ episodes aren’t as good on average so I don’t always listen, but there are several high-quality interviews to be had.
Good banter and sensible conversation about personal finance. Michael is bald. Ben watched the Sopranos while writing his blog - some might say this is an unforgivable sin but personally I don’t hold it against him.
Michael and Ben mostly talk about markets and investing, but tangent into multiple other topics. They have an enjoyable banter that keeps the podcast flowing. I always enjoy their book and movie reviews.
Ben is great. Excellent blogs and books. The podcast topic transitions can be awkward, but getting better. A word of caution: sometimes they flirt with leftist policy ideas. Will need to tune out when they go too political.
