Sell side analysis a joke
Would love a show speaking to how the sell side analysts have too many conflicts to do their job objectively. I used to be one. I know
this pod is fire
this podcast is fire. the ability to weave laughing with learning while discussing what could otherwise be dry financial and economic topics is what makes this podcast so great. i enjoy the insights and guests and look forward to listening to each new episode. oh and the intro song is a banger
Quirky Good
So much information and insights being provided…
Turn my mic on!
It’s difficult these days to find media that is both entertaining and educational, but Josh and Michael are doing it exceptionally well. I’ve always enjoyed Josh on CNBC, so I’m glad he’s doing this podcast too. Got hooked a couple months ago and now I look forward to every Friday morning to listen, learn, and laugh along the way. I enjoy their sense of humor and they bring on insightful guests to interview. Josh, I fully expect you to do this podcast until you’re at least 70 and no less.
great podcast
these guys are really entertaining, smart and appealing to younger people. i saw josh on tv and found this.
It’s Alright
I only listen to every episode
Put my mic on!
Josh and Michael are engaging hosts and welcome interesting guests every week. This is a weekly finance/markets/economy show that is informative, comical, and all around entertaining. I love taking a nice long walk on the weekend and listening to The Compound and friends! Keep up the great work guys. Also shout out to Duncan

Will unfollow if more episodes aren’t produced
Great show
Awesome show! Can’t wait for next week.
❤️❤️❤️
So so good.
I need a thesaurus
Big words. Brown talks beta. Batnick wears hats. Sub-par movie reviews. Great show
Fix the disclaimer!
I love the show! Batnick and Josh are a must listen every week. Can you do me a favor? Every time the disclaimer comes on Josh says something like “uppa-flect” instead of what I assume is meant to say “do not reflect”. Love you guys but I’ve never heard this word before. @leolog on twitter.
Podcast A+++ T-Shirt Game F-
Big fan of the show - great guests, interesting market insights and entertaining. I look forward to listening each week. However, (and I say this because I know Josh and Mike have a sense of humor), The Compound T-shirt is trash. Specifically, I bought the VIX T-shirt but didn’t see that the shirt material was made out of sandpaper on the website. I considered using the T-shirt as a rag around the house, but concerned it might damage my furniture and/or floors. 😀 All jokes aside, the podcast is fantastic but the T-shirts are no bueno.
I Don’t Think Josh Brown Likes Country Music
A while back I ran into Josh Brown in an elevator while we were both ducking out of a country music performance. Didn’t even realize it was Josh until after the fact. All that to say, if Josh truly does not like country music, then I will add a sixth star to this review. Great podcast! Always fun and insightful with excellent guest. I am in the financial planning industry and enjoy the perspectives and focus on markets and asset management. The crew does a great job of presenting this info in a straightforward way. No hidden sponsorships or investment pitches involved which is a plus. If you want to learn a bit, stay up to date and chuckle a couple times, this is a great subscribe. If I start hearing country music songs in the intro, I will rethink this entire review.
My favorite podcast! (Not to brag)
In the past few weeks Josh and Michael have had me browsing (allegedly over-priced) real estate on Long Island and the Netflix listings for Peaky Blinders. In an era where most will offer a hot-take opinion or deep passionate knowledge, but rarely both, The Compound & Friends is truly a breath of fresh air. It is a must-listen each and every week, and when the intro music finally drops (thanks Duncan) the smile on my face is a mile wide. With just enough finance and economics training to make me dangerous (to myself!) the hosts and their guests have my brain reeling to catch-up with rapid fire analyses of the week's financial and economic news. All that with recommendations for the best burgers in the city, movies, and the latest streaming options. Leaves you weary and enlightened!
Truly the Boss show :)
Me, my dad, and my sister love to listen to your show in the morning during the ride to school. Dad, Gardner Joseph and Yardley Wade
Compounding the way to freedom
I came to the US from Cuba six years ago. I knew learning English before getting here was a must, and I did so, mostly, by watching all of my favorite movies and TV shows in English without Spanish subtitles, always having music in English on in the background, and reading English books. Add a year of proper academic English studies, and I was set. I got really interested in the markets in 2020, as many others did as well. I opened a small account on TD and made a few trades, although, I will acknowledge, I didn’t know much about what I was doing at first. In a way, the markets were as unknown to me as English was a decade ago. For about two years now, I have immersed myself in a similar learning process. Have traded “The Sopranos” for “What Are Your Thoughts”, Tarantino and Nolan for Michael and Ben at “Animal Spirits”, and each weekly episode of “The Compound and Friends” has become the music of choice for Friday’s commute. As extremely complex as markets seemed to be at first; although acknowledging how multilayered, interconnected, and unpredictable it all is: financial markets, the economy, politics, human psychology, etc, my understanding of all this is better now, as is the roadmap to a well-planned retirement / financial literacy. To the Compound Team, I truly appreciate all of your content. On top of delivering extremely valuable opinions and knowledge, you do so in a way that also entertains, and more importantly, that it feels genuine, unvarnished and honest. From this (newly) American citizen, compounding the way towards my second freedom, thank u!

Could be really great
After listening to four podcasts I think there is a big future for this podcast. Josh Brown is a terrific host and IMO should be the host of Halftime Report, at least on a part-time basis. Maybe if Josh and Mike Santoli split this role, Halftime would reach its potential. If guest lists for Compound can maintain the recent quality of Adam Parker and Nick Colas I will be a regular listener. Some improvements: Cut out the open mike pre-opening, really unprofessional. Fix the background noise, 20 minutes of sirens and personal telephone ringing, are irritating. Anyway great start - keep it up!
Great Show
Extremely insightful show.
Absolutely spectacular podcast
A must listen, the weekly guests consistently provide informative interviews. I listen to this podcast every week, I often re-listen as well. The information and market perspective provided is top notch. Thanks to everyone involved in this podcast!
Smart and entertaining
These guys do a great job, have A-list guests and always keep it interesting. Also, they always ask us to leave reviews so I’m doing my part. Keep up the good work guys!
This is a must listen!
Great podcast and amazing content as well. I started listening to Josh and his podcast after watching a short interview of him on CNBC. Amazing personality, extremely humble, and knowledgeable about the stock market. As a young man aspiring to get actively involves in the financial arena this podcast and all the guesses are GOLD! Can’t wait to one day have the opportunity to meet the team in person and hopefully we can cross paths as my journey in the financial industry is just beginning. Keep it up the great content!
Great show
Was new to podcasts and was searching for a podcast that could inform me about investing and up was up to date. Had heard j brown on CNBC and eventually found the podcast. J brown is the man and though batnick sounds like a nerd at first, he ends up actually being the boy. Id also recommend Animal Spirits as they have two episodes a week apposed to just one. Their guess guests features are great, they covers all forms of investing from equities, bonds and crypto and technical analysis. Highly recommend.
Hilarious and Informative
These guys could legitimately be comedians. I look forward to each podcast. Gets into the weeds of the financial world while also being high level entertainment for the average person.
53 and no longer afraid!
Compound Team, I love your show! You have taught me that the market will go up and it will go down - Just don’t freak out, stay the course.. You guys have mastered the ability to communicate the market world to me and those like me. You are the work Friends I wish I had! Keep up the great work!
One of the best shows on the markets and investing:
Last Fridays show “don’t buy new lows” was one of the best shows- so much good stuff in that episode. This show is a must for any market watcher driven by the best host in the game. The caliber of guest is great, always fun and interesting , and the 60-90 minute format is right for this type of “conversation” Without a doubt my favorite podcast
Great show for advisors
Love Josh’s casual conversational style with great guests, I feel it gets them to speak their mind honestly rather than covering up statements with jargon. Batnick sometimes interrupts too much (adhd from his time in crypto) but he provides tremendous insight so I’ll let that slide. Keep up the great work guys
Markets, Culture, and Comedy
I love these guys. I’ve been listening to the Compound and Friends for close to a year. Animal Spirits brought me here and similar to it, I look forward to listening to these guys every week. After each listen I’m more educated on the markets and finance, I’ve had plenty of laughs, and I get surprisingly legit recommendations on movies, podcasts, and books I’ll never read. These people are all super genuine, and I feel like I’ve gotten to know their personalities so well that when I listen it’s like sitting around with a group of my own friends. I never thought I’d find content that is so informative and entertaining in one podcast: I hope the episodes keeps coming. Thanks for everything guys
